Undergraduate Scholarship

About this opportunity

Scholarships are for full time undergraduate applicants who are seeking asylum in the UK, and who are not able to access UK Government Student Finance (tuition fee loans or maintenance loans/grants) by virtue of their immigration status.

We will cover your tuition fees, accommodation costs and a bursary of up to £7500 per year.

You’ll also get personal one to one support to help identify and overcome barriers to achievement on your course.

Immigration status
You can apply for a Undergraduate Sanctuary Scholarship if you hold one of the following eligible immigration statuses before submitting your application to study at Bath. This is either in your own right or as a dependent of someone with this status:

UK asylum seeker
UK discretionary leave to remain (as a result of an asylum application)
UK limited leave to remain (as a result of an asylum application)
You must also:

Have been offered a place (conditional or unconditional) on an undergraduate programme at the University of Bath (having applied through UCAS) before applying for the Sanctuary Award. How to apply for an undergraduate course at Bath.

If an offer is conditional, the conditions of the offer of a place must be met (e.g. academic and English language qualifications).

Be living in the UK.
