What is the Scholarship for?
> To enrol in a one-year pre-undergraduate preparation course at UCL, the UPC, with a full tuition fee waiver and a campus pack support for your living costs
> To get support for your UCAS and Sanctuary Scholarships applications
> To prepare for your future undergraduate degree with modules in Academic English, Academic Research and Methods and subject-specific modules * Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Politics, Geography, Economics, History of Art, Literature, Philosophy and Classical Civilisation which may be required subejcts for your degree
What is the Scholarship?
Value: full UPC tuition fees, Campus Pack, UCAS application support, Sanctuary Scholarships application support for undergraduate progression
Number of awards: 2 scholarships
Available to: prospective UPC students from forced migration backgrounds living in London or the Greater London area
Level: pre-undergraduate
Selection criteria: educational, personal and financial circumstances, as well as academic background and potential
Application opening date: 1 February 2024
Application closing date: 1 June 2024
Result: by 26 July 2024

Asylum seeker, Refugee, Humanitarian protection, Limited or Discretionary Leave to Remain, Indefinite Leave to Remain, Ukraine or Afghan Schemes, I am outside of the UK
Additional notes about eligibility criteria
Eligibility
- You are a forced migrant living in the UK
- You do not have a qualification that allows you to apply for direct entry for undergraduate study
- You are living in London or able to (without prejudice to your Home office statutory requirements)
- You can support yourself for accommodation and living costs in London for the academic year on the UPC
- You know what degree you wish to study and have started to prepare for it or have received some education in it
- You are in financial need

- Apply online on our website (not via UCAS) at no charge
- Add your high school or university transcripts (if available)
- Add an English language qualification (if available)
- Add a reference (from a teacher or other)
- Write a personal statement
- Add documents to prove your status, address and financial circumstances
Entrance tests
- Take 1 or 2 (online): 20 April or 8 June 2024
- Prepare using the practice tests online
Interview
Selection
- You will be informed if you are selected after the interview
- You will need to make sure you fill the additional eligibility criteria (proof of financial support and housing in London for the academic year)
- A panel will review all applications
- Final decisions by 26 July 2024
