About this opportunity

David Morgan Sanctuary Scholarship is open to students at the Bachelor (Undergraduate) or the Masters (Postgraduate Taught) levels of study from Ukraine who are ordinarily resident in Ukraine and who have been displaced within or outside the respective country.

This scholarship is open to students in either the Bachelors or Masters Programme in History or one of the four joint degrees or in International Relations, War Studies or Political Economy.

Ukrainians who are ordinarily resident in Ukraine and who have been displaced within or outside the respective country.

Additional notes about eligibility criteria

To be eligible, you must

  • have been residing in Ukraine on or immediately before 1 January 2022 (including those who have now left Ukraine) and eligible for UK Home fees
  • be displaced within or outside the respective country.
  • be unable to access or complete higher education in your home country for your chosen degree.
  • have applied for an offer of admission for entry at King’s in Sept 2023. This includes applicants who are holding conditional or unconditional offers for degrees that begin in September 2023, as well as those who are still awaiting a decision from admissions.

Please note that the university will undertake checks on your eligibility for the scheme (e.g. fee status, immigration, and offer conditions for admission).

Additional notes about support provided

A maximum scholarship of £15,000 per annum is available to cover tuition fees and study expenses for the duration of the programme (maximum of 3 years) starting September 2023, and you will need to make other arrangements for any additional year(s) of your programme if your degree includes a Year Abroad or Placement/Industry year, or if you interrupt your studies
