About this opportunity
Applications are open for the Education Beyond Borders Postgraduate Scholarship for 2025/2026.
We welcome applications from individuals from displaced backgrounds, who currently reside in the UK, planning to start at the University of Edinburgh in September 2025.
Successful applicants must secure an offer to study with the University and meet the language requirements for their chosen degree programme. They will take a FREE English language proficiency test from our external provider.
Application deadline: 3 February 2025 at 5pm.

Eligibility
Asylum seeker, Refugee, Humanitarian protection, Limited or Discretionary Leave to Remain, Indefinite Leave to Remain, Ukraine or Afghan Schemes, Other forms of sanctuary (including Calais Leave, Section 67 Leave, UASC leave and Stateless Leave)
Additional notes about eligibility criteria
Level of education
You must meet the academic entry requirements for your chosen degree programme. We will not accept applications from people educated to PhD level. In addition, if you already have a postgraduate taught degree from a UK higher education institution, you are not eligible for 25/26 entry.

You must be a UK resident
Applicants must reside in the UK at the time of their application and be prepared to relocate to Edinburgh (or a commutable distance from Edinburgh) if their application is successful.
We define a commutable distance as:
being within a 60-mile radius of the University of Edinburgh
you can travel to the University by car, bus or train to attend your classes.

2. Apply for the scholarship. Ensure you have read everything carefully, once you have done this you will be able to click the link to apply for the scholarship. DEADLINE: 3RD FEBRUARY 2025, 5pm.
3. Apply for your academic programme. You must apply for your academic programme by 3RD MARCH 2025 to be eligible for this scholarship.
4. Following this you will receive notification if you have been shortlisted or rejected.
5. Those on final shortlist will be invited to interview.
6. Successful candidates who have the condition of English language proficiency for their academic programme will be offered a FREE English with an external provider.
