About this opportunity

The National Film and Television (NFTS) is committed to ensuring it is open to students of genuine ability, no matter what their background or financial circumstances. And, as an institution that develops the next generation of creative talent, we feel a special responsibility to ensure our creative industries reflect the full diversity of our country.

The NFTS is pleased to offer Humanitarian Scholarships for students fleeing conflict and persecution and who are seeking asylum in the UK, enabling them to continue their education. For 2025, these scholarships include:
– One full fee scholarship and £15,000 living expenses per year on a full-time postgraduate level course commencing in January 2026 to an applicant that holds the appropriate refugee status in the UK.
– A fully funded place on our Certificate in Indie Games Development course for students holding the appropriate status either inside or outside the UK.

All applications for the MA or Diploma Humanitarian Scholarship must be received by 3 July 2025.

All applications for the Certificate in Indie Games Development Humanitarian Scholarship must be received by 31 July 2025.

To apply for the Humanitarian Scholarship, applicants should email studentfunding@nfts.co.uk to request a scholarship application form as soon as possible after they have submitted their course application.
