About this opportunity

The University of Leicester is offering up to 36 sanctuary scholarships per year on its Pre-sessional Programme. This course is for students who want to start an undergraduate or postgraduate course at university, but first need to improve their level of academic English and skills. The programmes offer a range of entry points from IELTS 4.0 to IELTS 6.0 and have various start dates throughout the year.

Other eligibility criteria

Some other immigration statuses may be accepted if the student has a history of forced migration. We will judge these on a case-by-case basis

Additional notes about eligibility criteria

In addition, applicants: must already have achieved an academic level (from any country) equivalent of UK level 3 or higher; must have a level of English of IELTS 4.0 or higher; be able to commit to 21 hours per week of face to face study and 15 hours per week of self study
