Additional details about application process
Application Timeline
• Mid-February onwards: All offer-holders for 2022 entry will be emailed information about scholarships and bursaries
• May onwards: Firm and insurance offer-holders for 2022 will be emailed information on how to apply
• Mid September: Successful recipients informed of outcome
• Midnight (GMT) 27 January 2023: Bath Bursary applications close
Bursaries will be awarded usually from mid-September, but the application will remain open until the end of January in your first year of study.
Application Process:
New first year undergraduates who are due to start studies in 2022 will be able to apply for the bursary through your University of Bath Application Tracker (Student SAMIS account). You will be invited, by email, to do this from mid-May 2022.
Eligibility will be assessed partly on information provided in your UCAS application and household income data from the Student Loans Company (SLC). If you meet the criteria based on this information alone, you will receive a bursary award automatically. However, not all students will qualify based on UCAS data, so we strongly advise you to complete the online application. This will provide us with additional information and evidence on the criteria that is not received through UCAS. Read our terms and conditions for more information.
Make sure you have given permission for your/your family’s household income assessment to be shared with the University by your student loans awarding agency. Without this, we are unable to assess your eligibility for our funding awards.
